We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Sacred Sutra app ("the App") handles your data.
The App does not require you to register, sign in, or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use core features (reading, search, teachings, quizzes, and related study tools).
If you contact us by email (for example for support or a privacy question), we receive the address and message content you send so we can respond.
The following may be stored only on your device (for example via SharedPreferences
and a local SQLite database):

Optional one-time unlocks (for example Mahabharata or Ramayana research tools) are sold through the platform store:
Payment card details are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We do not receive your full payment card number. The stores may provide us with purchase status or product identifiers so the App can unlock features. You can restore prior unlocks in the App under Settings → Restore purchases.
Optional Beyond session renewals may show a rewarded ad via Google AdMob. The ad partner may collect or process:
On iOS, if the App requests permission to track for personalized ads, you may allow or deny that request (App Tracking Transparency). You can also limit ad tracking or reset your Advertising ID in system settings. Reading the epic text does not require watching ads.

We use Firebase Analytics, which reports into Google Analytics 4 (GA4), to collect anonymous or pseudonymous usage events. Firebase / Google may process device and usage data according to their policies. See Firebase Privacy and Google's Privacy Policy.
Rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob. Google may process advertising and device data as described in their policies. See AdMob Data Usage and Google's Privacy Policy.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their respective terms and privacy policies. See Apple Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
The App may use the network for analytics, ads, content-pack or configuration downloads, map tiles, or opening links (such as this privacy policy) in your browser or Maps.
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by:
Depending on platform and version, the App may request permissions or system prompts needed for notifications (optional daily reminders), sharing content, network access (analytics, ads, downloads, maps), or advertising / tracking identifiers. Core reading content is intended to work offline after install and any required content download.

The App is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for the purpose of selling data or creating profiles. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us that we should not retain, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Parental controls and age ratings on each store also apply.
Data sent to third-party services (such as Firebase or AdMob) is transmitted using industry-standard encryption in transit. Local data remains on your device under the protection of your operating system's app sandbox. Content databases on device may also be stored using standard local encryption mechanisms.
